Partnering for a Safe Job Site

Partner with ABC Arkansas for a Safe Job Site

The Associated Builders & Contractors of Arkansas’s Safety Committee is launching a new program to promote the importance of safety in our industry, specifically on job sites. To do this, ABC is offering the opportunity to obtain “Partnering for a Safe Job Site” signs for members that meet certain safety criteria. Complying with current safety standards is something that should be praised and these signs will show anyone who sees your job site(s) that you make safety a priority.

To obtain a job site sign, members must participate in STEP. STEP stands for Safety Training Evaluation Process. Participating in STEP provides you with an opportunity to measure your safety program’s progress using the 20 Key Components self-evaluation identify areas of improvement and benchmark your performance with fellow ABC members.

If you do not already have a STEP application booklet, you may request one or download one online at www.abcark.org under the ‘Safety’ tab. Once you send in your application, ABC National will review the material and send you a certificate stating what level you have achieved - Participant, Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum or Diamond.

Once you have received your STEP certificate, notify ABC Arkansas, and we will send you a job site sign. The sign will list your STEP level and will have an open area where you can place your company logo. An example of the sign can be seen below. First sign is free!
