WOKA Whitewater Kayak Park Industry Tour

Please join us on Thursday, April 15th from 4:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. for a guided industry tour of the new WOKA Whitewater Kayak Park project! This is a great chance to safely network with other ABC members while getting an inside look at a unique project located on the Oklahoma and Arkansas border!

All ABC Members and Prospects are welcome! There is no charge to attend.

Reservations are required.

WOKA Whitewater Kayak Park is a 1200’ channel blasted out of limestone bypassing the Lake Frances Dam along the Illinois River. The dam was built in the late 20’s and suffered a partial structural failure in 1990 leaving the dam we have today. The 1200’ course will consist of 4 whitewater kayak drops, 1 surf gate and 3 tubing drops that total around 12’ of drop through the course. The upland area will include viewing area, an event area, restrooms and a maintenance building.

By April 15, 2021, blasting will be completed (other than removal of the plugs). The tubing drops will have been poured and the team will be working on the sculped concrete. They will be working on forming and pouring drops 4-6.
