Student FAQ

When will I find out my class schedule?

Schedules are listed in our NCCER Connect Classroom.  You can also email [email protected] if you need a copy.

What should I bring with me to class?

Students must bring their books (if one was provided to indv), applicable Code Books, pencil/pen,  notebook, handtools and PPE (on lab nights). Students must also be clothed in appropriate work attire. If you are unprepared for class, you will be counted off on credit hour.

What if I miss one of my scheduled classes?

If you will miss class, you are required to inform your employer, instructor, and email [email protected].  We will have a makeup night at the end of semester.

What are ways I can be counted absent for a class, even if I physically went?

Though not an exhaustive list, some things that could lead to being marked absent include, not being prepared, failing to come dressed for class, failing to bring your code book or books, failure to sign in or out on the attendance sheet, or being dismissed from class by your instructor.

How do I scheduled makeup time?

Limited makeup times are available. Makeup nights are scheduled at the end of semester.

If I am out of town on the job, how do I join class?

Your company supervisor has to contact [email protected] or Kimberly Moore 501.289.0545 to give approval.  The apprentice has to sign the online rules document and follow all the requirements.  If you do not follow the online rules, you will not be allowed back online.  Online is connected through TEAMS.  The link is in the NCCER Connect classroom.
